Introducing Our New Executive Chef: Paul McGreevy!

Be Fresh has a new executive chef and we couldn’t be more excited about it!

Chef Paul McGreevy has joined the Be Fresh/SPUD/Blush Lane team as the director of food. In this position, Chef Paul will be bringing his more than 20 years of experience in to oversee and expand all of Be Fresh’s prepared food offerings. This means more delicious Be Fresh salads, ready-to-eat entrees, snacks, sweets, and more will soon be available from Be Fresh Markets and online at

Passionate about food from a young age, Chef Paul has developed that love into a lifelong career. He graduated from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Professional Cooking Program before gaining professional experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants, bakeries, cafes and hotels throughout Europe.

  • He has a lifelong passion for foodhe vividly remembers harvesting vegetables from his family garden as child, and his enthusiasm for fresh local products has only grown with time.
  • He loves local as much as we do Paul is dedicated to supporting local farmers and suppliers, and loves creating dishes based on seasonality and sustainability.
  • He puts in  the effort to make the best food possibleIt can take a bit more work to research and  create locally raised, natural, and organic meals, but the end result is a better quality and better-for-you meal.

 Not only is Chef Paul passionate about crafting delicious, local, sustainable, and seasonal food, he’s also committed to making Be Fresh food the best quality it can be. When he came on board, Paul gave us his three “non-negotiables”: values that the Be fresh Team will embody. This is just one more reason we’re excited to have Paul leading our team!
