Ingredients<\/h3>
  • 3<\/span> cups<\/span> Flour<\/span><\/li>
  • 2<\/span> tsp<\/span> baking powder<\/span><\/li>
  • 1<\/span> tsp<\/span> baking soda<\/span><\/li>
  • 1<\/span> pinch<\/span> salt<\/span><\/li>
  • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> butter softened to room temperature<\/span><\/li>
  • 2<\/span> cups<\/span> sugar<\/span><\/li>
  • 4<\/span> large<\/span> eggs at room temperature<\/span><\/li>
  • 1<\/span> cup<\/span> buttermilk at room temperature<\/span><\/li>
  • 2 1\/2<\/span> tsp<\/span> vanilla extract<\/span><\/li>
  • 1<\/span> Chocolate Buttercream Frosting<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n

    Instructions<\/h3>
    • Preheat oven to 350\u00ba F. Prepare three 8-inch cake pans by spraying with baking spray or buttering and lightly flouring.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk through to combine. Set aside. <\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Cream butter until fluffy and then add sugar. Cream together for about 8 more minutes.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Add eggs, one at a time, and mix just until combined.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Add flour mixture and buttermilk, alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Combine each addition until well combined.<\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Add vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined. <\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Divide among pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until edges turn loose from pan and toothpick inserted into middle of cake comes out clean. <\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Turn out onto wire cooling racks and allow to cool completely. <\/span><\/div><\/li>
    • Frost cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n
