This recipe serves about 8, so it\u2019s also great for sharing with friends (and you\u2019ll get compliments galore!)\u2014unless you\u2019re like me and want to keep it all to yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only is this tart super delicious, but it\u2019s also incredibly easy. Your friends will be blown away! Don\u2019t give away your secrets though\u2014pretend you slaved away over it. No one needs to know.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Summer Plum Tart<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This recipe is loosely adapted from a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/ina-garten\/plum-tart-recipe2-1916996\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">similar Food Network recipe by Ina Garten.<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Ingredients<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 16px;\">Crumble:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups all-purpose flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00be cup butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00be cup finely chopped walnuts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd-\u00be cup maple syrup, or raw cane sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 egg yolk<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinch of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 16px;\">Filling:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 lbs (4 cups) firm plums, pitted and quartered<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp vanilla<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinch of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><em>Optional<\/em>: don&#8217;t have enough plums? Replace half with apples for an apple plum combo!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Instructions:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preheat oven to 400 F.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a large bowl, combine flour, walnuts, and sweetener. Once mixed, add butter, egg yolk, and salt. Mix either in an electric mixer (on low) or by hand until crumbly. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take 1.5 cups of the crumble mixture and press onto the bottom of a 9.5 inch tart\u00a0pan (or skillet). <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mix plums and vanilla in a separate bowl. Add plums and place on top of crumble mixture, skin side down. If you want to get fancy like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/ina-garten\/plum-tart-recipe2-1916996\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ina Garten<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, arrange the plums in a flower-shaped fashion. Begin on the outside and work your way in\u2014like a flower.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sprinkle the remaining crumble atop the plums. Bake the tart for 40-50 minutes, or until the juices are bubbling and the top is crisp.
